Hey guys,

As you may or may not know, Rules of romance have decide to call it a day. Earlier in the week we released this statement :

“With extreme sadness, we regret to announce that Rules of Romance will be playing our LAST EVER SHOW on 28th June supporting Atlas&I at B2 Norwich. We would like to thank everyone for all the support we have received over the last 3 years; we could not have achieved any of this without you.

The split is not in any was caused by bad terms with any members of the band. We are all very heartbroken as this is has been one of the most important things in our lives.

We strongly ask and encourage EVERYONE to attend out last show on 28th June at B2 supporting our friends Atlas&I and support us for what we promise to be the best performance we have and will ever give. Tickets are available online; physical tickets are also available from any member of ROR.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported us and made this the best 3 years of our lives.”

We are absolutely touched by the responses we have received. We can assure you that we are as sad as you to see this chapter of our lives ending. We wanted to bring out an extra blog just to explain the situation and to put all rumours that you may of heard to rest.

Our drummer Hindle has decided to marry his girlfriend and settle down. This is a massive step for him and we couldn’t be more proud, i personally cannot wait to watch him build his new life and future.  After knowing this and having many sleepless nights we came to the conclusion that carrying on the band without him would be a big loss. Hindle Brought something to the band that we just couldn’t explain. Something we felt we couldn’t go without. It wouldn’t be fair for us to carry on making music with a new drummer playing his parts that he had worked hard on.

This wasn’t an easy decision to make, This band has been our lives for the past 3 years and we wouldn’t change it for the world, the good times and the bad. This was NOT caused bad terms with any of the members of ROR and it would be great if you could drop Hindle (Tom Hindle) a post on his facebook wishing him luck with his future.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has made these three years the best of our lives. Everyone that came to a show, listened to our music or even took the time to click “like” on facebook. We wouldn’t be anywhere without your love and support. Oh and everyone that braved it and bought a tee of our creepy merch guy….

We hope you understand our reasons for our departure and carry on supporting us in the future with any projects or life decisions we choose to take.

Our LAST show will be at  B2 in Norwich with our pals Atlas&i, its going to be a big night for us, hope to see you there.  If your interested in finding out more click here, Tickets are available from band members.

Thankyou for making this the best 3 years of our lives, so many memories. Hope to see you all soon x

March Update! ( Merch and Music video )

Hey guys, its been a little while since our last update and lots of exciting things have happened in the past few months

This weekend we finally got round to filming our music video for pictures. We woke up at 6am and worked insanely hard to get it all finished in two days. We filmed our video with a company called ‘Companion Films’ run by the guitarist of Marines, John phillips. We have also got new merch up for pre-order HERE

We filmed all the narrative scenes till dusk, we couldn’t feel our toes. It was so unbelievably cold. The second day we recorded all the live shots. Fringe had a massive blood bruise and all members had cut hands. We are so proud of what we have achieved with the music video and hope that you all like it as much as we do.

If you haven’t checked it out, click HERE.

The video is released exclusively on Alterthepress before hitting youtube.

Thanks so much to John Phillips for directing and producing our new music video.

Please let us know what you think x
